Unitech Networks Expands Business in PRC, with
New Office in Shanghai
To Tap into the Rapidly-Growing Internet Market

(HONG KONG - July 4, 2000) Unitech
Networks Ltd, an Internet infrastructure provider in Asia Pacific, today
announced its expansion in People Republic of China, opening new office
in Shanghai - the commercial and financial center of the country with

Shanghai, which is the third most wired place accounting for 11 per

population in 1999, according to China Internet Network Information
Center.
